About Coach

As a Mountlake Terrace native, I grew up playing soccer, basketball, baseball, cross country and track & field. I loved the team aspect of these sports, but found myself underweight and wanting to make a change in my life. I was lucky enough to realize this at a young age and got myself in the gym. From my junior year in high school to college, I grew from 120 lbs to 180 lbs. Since then, I’ve had a passion for learning all I could about the human body and human performance that took me through studying Kinesiology at Western Washington University. I worked in several rehab clinics and internships along with being a personal trainer and group fitness coach.

Turning Point

It’s human nature to stay in our comfort zone! Meeting new people, joining a new gym, or taking on a new hobby can be scary. It wasn’t until midway through college that I learned sometimes it’s best to just dive right in. Save yourself the time by taking the big step and doing things that help you grow. When I joined Paramount in 2019, I learned a second big lesson: it’s a million times easier learning a new skill when you have a quality coach guiding you. This was the first time I had a weightlifting coach. Although I’m grateful for my journey and all I’ve learned, if I could go back in time I would have worked with a QUALITY coach from the start! Having the courage to simply get started AND finding the right people to help is a deadly combination for success.

Motivation & Passion

A great coach guides athletes through challenges and shows them that they CAN do difficult things! It’s big moments like helping someone through their first strict pull-up or crushing a new 1RM deadlift that gets me excited as a coach! It’s also the simple moments of sharing a laugh with others in the gym or seeing someone walk out of the gym with a smile on their face that I live for. I’ve seen people on their first day in the gym anxious and not knowing what to expect come out the other side more confident, happier, and healthier. Seeing my athletes grow physically and mentally makes me a happy coach. If you’re looking for someone to help you through your next journey, I’m here to help every step of the way.
