PARAMOUNT BARBELL CLUB
Paramount Barbell Club offers Olympic-style weightlifting programs taught by certified USAW Sports Performance Coaches. Our classes are open to beginning and experienced lifters throughout the Pacific Northwest interested in improving their technique. Classes go in-depth on the snatch, clean and jerk, and supplemental lifts (squats, presses, pulls, etc). We cover everything from using Olympic Weightlifting to train for Sports or competing on the Local and National Level in the Sport of Olympic Weightlifting.
What We Offer for Olympic Weightlifting:
- Coaching for Beginners to Advanced
Whether you are just starting out and learning the technique or have been Olympic Weightlifting for years we can help you. Our programs are designed to develop your technique as a priority all while still improving your strength.
- Online Programming (join the team!)
Our programming is all online via an app that allows our athletes to follow the program in house or at another gym. We have many athletes that train at different locations during the week due to distance and then come in once a week to work with our coaches. We also have a handful of athletes following from out of state and do remote coaching via video analysis. You can now compete for Team Paramount without being local!
- Olympic Weightlifting Clinics (Onsite & Offsite)
We have been hosting Weightlifting Clinics since 2012 at our facility to offer dedicated technique sessions for those not able to commit to a membership and just looking to get some pointers and to brush up their skills. We also go offsite to host gyms for these clinics to provide coaching to their members and/or staff.
- Coaching for Competitive Olympic Weightlifters
Paramount Barbell Club is a weightlifting team registered with USA Weightlifting. We have been on the local competition scene since 2013 and have sent athletes to the Regional and National level in competition. Coach Chris brings a wealth of experience having competed at the National level since 2013 and qualified for all National level meets for the last 6 years straight including having two National Records (M35 81kg).

We offer a strength training program that will increase muscle strength and endurance, help protect muscles and joints from sports-related injuries, improve performance in nearly any sport and develop proper techniques the athlete can continue to use as they progress.
We address proper weightlifting form and technique first. From there, athletes can develop general strength and training in a safe environment under the watchful eye of a certified coach.

Coach Chris is the head coach of Paramount Barbell Club and a Level One USAW Sports Performance Coach. He has coached multiple athletes to qualify for the American Open and both Senior and Junior Nationals, with other athletes qualifying for Youth Nationals and medaling. He has personally competed in or qualified for the American Open and Senior Nationals 6x each and holds two National Records (M35 81kg). He has also traveled extensively to learn from some of the best National/International Level Olympic Weightlifting Coaches in the country.
