What is Nutrition Coaching?
Nutrition is generally the missing link to any fitness program as you can’t out-train a bad diet. Nutrition coaching will help connect the dots so that you can finally achieve those goals you’ve been working so hard for.
Nutrition coaching offers an individualized macro-approach to nutrition to create a sustainable and healthy relationship between your goals and the food you consume, prioritizing the importance of quality and quantity as well as the education behind why you’re doing what you’re doing.
In the end our goal is to create a maintainable healthy lifestyle. This is not a temporary fix or diet.

What does nutrition coaching involve?
You’ll track your food by weighing, measuring, and recording it in a food tracking app.
We’ll have check-in phone calls to answer questions and evaluate progress and next steps.
We will also monitor your biofeedback to make sure your body is responding appropriately to your food creating a healthy body for whatever your goals may be.
New to CrossFit and not sure where to start? You’re in the right place! We offer a 3x/Week OnRamp class for five weeks. Designed for beginners, this class gets you ready for regular CrossFit classes here at Paramount.
OnRamp focuses on teaching movements to be performed safely and effectively. Workouts are designed to allow a slow ramp-up of intensity over time as form and technique allow.
New members interested in Crossfit MUST complete the On-Ramp program or demonstrate proficiency in several Crossfit Specific movements.
If our OnRamp schedule does not work for you, you are welcome to schedule 1:1 Fundamentals personal sessions where your schedule will be accommodated.

Meet Cecelia Miller
Cecelia fell in love with yoga in 2006 and how great it made her feel. Since then, she has followed her passion to learn more. Compelled to share her love of yoga with others, Cecelia completed her Power teacher training in fall of 2015 and has been enjoying teaching yoga ever since. Not only in the Powers style but Hatha, beginner, and restorative as well.
Cecelia will be offering two restorative classes and one Hatha class at Paramount each week: Tue/Thur 8-9pm and Sun 9-10am.
Restorative: Sundays and Tuesdays, a relaxing practice. Most of the postures are in a resting position and held for several minutes at a time to allow connective tissue to heal. The focus is on gentle stretching without strain.
Hatha: on Thursday nights, Cecelia will offer a slow flow/alignment-style Hatha class which will be more active and include standing and balancing postures, with a little bit of breath work.

While we’re sad Coach Jaime has stepped down from his role at Paramount as a full-time coach, we’re happy he’ll remain with us doing personal training. Coach Jaime has been an absolute stand up guy who’s contributed some great energy to the gym. He has has done a lot of good work with our members and he will definitely be missed in the evenings. It’s good to know that he is not leaving the gym just taking a step back to focus on other opportunities.
So with that said, it’s time to introduce you to Coach Aaron, who we are thrilled to have on the Paramount coaching team. Coach Aaron has been with us since the summer coaching our noon, teen sports performance and Saturday classes. He will be taking over Jaime’s evening shifts as of 10/31. Read on to learn more about Coach Aaron and his excellent credentials. So far, he has been very well received by the members he has been coaching!
Meet Coach Aaron
Aaron Hyatt grew up in New Orleans where he attended St. Martin’s Episcopal School. Aaron was a three sport athlete, lettering all four years and earning multiple All-District and All-State honors in Football, Soccer, and Track. Aaron went on to play Soccer for four years at Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. After graduating from Millsaps in 2010 Aaron stayed on and worked with the soccer team as Strength and Conditioning Coach. He moved back to New Orleans in December 2010 and began working as a personal trainer. Aaron began CrossFit in November 2011 and is currently CrossFit Level 2 certified. Aaron moved to Seattle with his fiancé and two dogs in June 2016. He loves working with athletes of all skill levels, but has a passion to work with High School and Collegiate athletes using CrossFit methods to improve strength and athleticism.
